Review of Abilene Farmer’s Market by TexasRealFood
The Abilene Farmer’s Market has been providing the community with the freshest produce for more than 45 years. There are three market days (Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays) from May to September. Vendors and buyers alike enjoy the relationships formed at the market. “I met several farmers. Some told me about their goods that were grown naturally without chemicals” says one reviewer.
Besides the usual products found in other markets, find “weird vegetables not sold at grocery stores” including “black radishes, sweet banana peppers, and sunburst yellow squashes”.
They have a producers-only policy – “if you don’t grow it, you don’t sell it here” according to their market manager. Cash transactions only.
