The Alamo Distilling Co. based in the heart of downtown San Antonio is on a roll. Co-founders Daniel Taylor and Nick Burns once dreamed of escaping their dreary jobs on New Year’s Eve 2014. Eventually quitting their jobs and taking a leap of faith, they set up shop in a 1,100 square foot facility near the San Antonio International Airport before their first year of business ended. In 2017, they moved into a 7,000 square foot building. Before 2019 ends, they are mobilizing to move into a 38,000 square foot facility.
After having suffered through a brand identity crisis, the formerly-named Texas Craft Whiskey distillery now creates Alamo’s Black Label Bourbon, Catimore Coffee Liqueur, and Alamo Vodka as their flagship products, plus a variety of small-batch experimental spirits. They also shifted their energies away from the moonshine and rum markets. As a grain-to-glass distillery, they continue to remain committed to using the best ingredients possible and crafting memorable spirits.
