TuesdayDay Off!Altstadt Brewery is an authentic, German-style brewery guided by the German Purity Law of 1516 and uses only four premium ingredients – hops, malt, yeast imported from Germany, and artesian spring water – to create award-winning beers including Altbier, Kölsch, and Lager. Established in 2014 by the Scripps family, they first released their lineup of year-round beers in 2017.
In October 2018, the Fredericksburg-based brewery opened their authentic 120-acre Old World German-style destination brewery. Modeled after a German castle, it features a German-style biergarten with several seating areas, a tasting room, an event center for special events, and a restaurant. The biergarten features live music during pub hours. The brewery also conducts free tours at its brewing facilities where visitors can go behind the scenes to learn about the German brewing process, and catch a glimpse of their imported state-of-the-art German equipment.
