Hillsboro is the county seat of Hill County, Texas. During Bonnie and Clyde’s robberies in this town, they overtook the Peterson’s farm and held their whole family as hostages. They were held at gunpoint until Bonnie and Clyde got the right to sleep in their barn for a few nights. The city is well known for its historic courthouse and profusion of reinstated Victorian homes. The historic courthouse was laboriously harmed by an electrical fire. It was then rebuilt by a number of donations from all around the world, and two concerts that were sponsored by a native from Hill County, Willie Nelson.
