Maryneal is located in the southern part of Nolan County in Texas, U.S. It is an unincorporated community at an elevation of 2,566 feet. The community stands along FM 608 south of Sweetwater city. At the census of 2000, Maryneal recorded a population of 181. It was established in 1907 along Mexico and Orient Railway in Kansas City. The origin of its name is not clear. Immediately after its establishment, the community had a post office, a bank, a hotel, a cotton yard, stockpens, lumberyards and a number of churches. The Lone Star Cement Plant was established in 1951 and it helped Maryneal not to fade away.
