Scotland is a city in Archer County in the U.S. state of Texas. At the time of the last census it had a population of 501. It was named after its founder Henry J. Scott. The city has a family median income of $41.000 and about 160 households. It was founded as a Germanic Catholic community, mostly made from the farmers who came from other parts of Texas and originally from what’s now Germany and Poland. The railroad came to the city in 1908 and so did the post office. It’s located just near artificial Lake Arrowhead, but it’s not within the city limits
