Texas Venture Labs

The goal of Texas Venture Labs is to encourage students with good business ideas to pursue entrepreneurship. The prospect of starting a business is daunting for young people, but with enough training and encouragement, they could manage a startup which hopefully they can grow in the future. As a support system, Texas Venture Labs offers students TVL Practicum, a cross-campus elective course that teaches graduate students how to work with and consult with startups. There's also the TVL Accelerator and TVL Investment Competition (TVLIC). All of these things are meant to train and sharpen students and become more grounded on the actual conditions surrounding startup business development.
