Avonak Distillery is Texas’ first certified organic distillery in Texas. The distillery takes its name from a small town north of Houston, where it is based. Founded in 2016 by Kyle Wray, his wife, and a diverse group of Houstonians, the distillery introduced its first products to the market in mid-2018. Avonak Distillery’s first products were its Avonak Vodka, Eye10 Gin, and Fifty9 Gin. The distillery is also Texas’ first “grain-to-glass” distillery.
Kyle and his wife traveled the globe and visited places with age-old distilling traditions. They realized they could use their knowledge “to build a tradition of their own” in the city they call home. With its line of “premium products made in small batches” and “accented with local flavors”, master distiller Kyle plans to release a bourbon product soon.
