Review of Braindead Brewing by TexasRealFood

With multiple awards over the years, BrainDead Brewing is a fixture at Deep Ellum in Dallas. It is Dallas’ first true brewpub (the restaurant brews their beer onsite) and their awards include best burger, best brewery, best bar for beers, best bar, etc., from several Dallas-based groups.

Opened in March 2015, the brewery currently offers 35 craft beer varieties. That’s not counting the rotating guest brews on taps, cans, or bottles. For wine enthusiasts, there’s a current selection of six wines. Don’t forget – it’s also an award-winning restaurant with an anytime menu, a lunch menu, and a Sunday brunch menu. Their Coma Burger is mentioned in several blogs and testimonies of its goodness abound.

The brains behind BrainDead are Sam Wynne, Jeff Fryman, brewer Andrew Huerter, chef David Peña, and their slogan says it all: “Beer. Food. Good.”
