Matt’s work with a restaurant to help them grow their brewing system in 2015 had been gaining a following, and he and his wife thought it was a good time to open their own business. Located at the Medical District, the brewery and taproom combines the things the couple are most passionate about – science, art, space, and beer – especially “hoppy and hazy” beers. A former art teacher, Molly managed the design of their beers’ labels and created most of the murals at the taproom.
The road towards opening in late October 2018 was tough. During the process, they also had two children within a span of 15 months and kept their full-time jobs until just months before the opening. The rewards, however, came when four of their beers “trended” in a popular beer app soon after they opened.
