Andalusia Whiskey Co.

The Andalusia Whiskey Co. is a distillery on a working ranch in the heart of the Texas Hill Country. Andalusia Whiskey Co. is a single malt whiskey distillery only sells their Andalusia White, Revenant Oak, Stryker, Andalusia Triple-Distilled whiskeys at their tasting room or at Texas retailers. The distillery was established by Tommy Erwin and Ty Phelps. Both met at the Real Ale Brewing Company where they were former employees, quickly became friends, and decided to open their own whiskey distillery. With the help of family and friends, they opened the grain-to-glass distillery in 2016. Andalusia Whiskey Co. distillery is proudly a zero-waste facility. They feed the spent grain to Ty’s livestock at the working ranch as part of their commitment to the environment. They also built a 56,000 gallon rainwater collection tank on the property. Tours at the distillery happen every day at 2pm. For groups smaller than 10, they don't require reservations.

Ben Milam Whiskey Distillery

Ben Milam Whiskey Distillery should include "women power" as an ingredient in their bottles. After years in the entertainment industry, founder Marsha Milam established Provision Spirits. She then named the distillery and its products after Ben Milam, a distant relative and a hero of the Texas Revolution. In 2017, without her knowledge, her head distiller submitted their single barrel bourbon in the 2017 San Francisco World Spirits. It went on to win a coveted Double Gold. The distillery repeated its win with a gold in the 2018 edition. In 2018, Marlene Holmes joined Marsha at Ben Milam as Head Distiller. Formerly from Jim Beam, she brings 27 years industry experience to the young distillery. Finally, in a casting coup of sorts, Marsha announced in early 2019 that world-renowned whiskey expert and author Heather Greene would join as CEO and Partner. Together, the three are launching the Milam & Greene Whiskies line.

Garrison Brothers Distillery

Garrison Brothers Distillery is Texas' first and oldest bourbon distillery. This is a "nice little gem in the hill country!" Join their tours. You will learn from it because it is "educational and covers all the aspects of making bourbon". The "tour ends with a sampling of Garrison's finest bourbon". They also "recognize Military (Wall of American Badass) and 1st responders by having patches of people who have visited". Their "whiskey" is "smooth, and the views of the surrounding Hill Country" are "spectacular". You should "definitely make a reservation".  They "also have a bar where you can pay for different drinks with the Garrison Bourbon in them". There "is also a great gift shop where you may purchase different things with the Garrison Brothers Distillery logo on it".

Moonshine Ridge

Visit distillery located in Johnson City, Texas. Moonshine Ridge makes moonshine and try to stay true to the recipe of their granddad Archer, but tweak it, perfect it, into a gentleman Sipping shine! They offer "great bottles of whiskey and moonshine!" Have a taste "of Kat Daddy's Hill Fire Cinnamon and Archer's Blend Kentucky Clear Moonshine". "Both" have a "nice and smooth" taste. Their "Gunlock Firestick" is "delicious, and also the Watermelon-thump". You can also try their "German Potato Vodka and Rye Whiskey". They also "have several fantastic house cocktails, plus traditional mixed drinks, available". This is "A MUST STOP when traveling through Johnson City!!"  They also offer billiards, poker, table games and live  sports on TV.  As well as occasional live music.  Check their Facebook page for updates on live music.
