You will also "loved the Shiraz and Tempranillo" which are "both grown onsite". Their "tasting room is cozy, and outdoor patio overlooking the vineyard is very nice to sit out on". It is "well worth the drive" and "even if you're just passing through Hamilton", it is "a perfect place to stop by".
Silver Spur Winery is a boutique winery located in the heart of downtown Hico, Texas which is another "business reviving" the "cute historic area". It is a "great stop between Fort Worth and Fredericksburg". They have a "great little quaint tasting room featuring several locally grown varietals". "Fans of dry reds" will find their "featured reds to be quite good". An "excellent wine" they have is the "Tempranillo as it had a great earthy feel and the peppery ending". They also have the "Viognier" which "is very aromatic with honeysuckle notes". Their "California Chardonnay is much different than the Texas one" since "it has more cream and vanilla notes with higher acids and is blended with Marsanne and Roussanne".
