The Bending Branch Winery is "only 40 miles from San Antonio". They have won several awards including Top Texas Wine Award and Best Texas Winery FOUR years in a row. "What is unique about this winery is that they have Tannat wine, which is highly unusual" and is also "better than the Tannat from Uruguay, which is much stronger". You can also try their Rosé, Mourvèdre, and the Pic Poul or the Charbono, Sagrantino, and Souzão. Aside from being "pet-friendly", their "wine stewards" are also "friendly, polite and knowledgeable". "These people make you so comfortable and making sure you are having a Great Time".
You will have a "wonderful experience in a beautiful setting at the Kerrville Hills Winery". Their "tasting room is very nice on the inside and there is always a breeze on the porch of this hillside location". Their staff is also "very knowledgeable" and "is incredibly warm" and will make you "feel right at home". They have a "great selection of wines". You will find "the wines are fantastic, particularly the Gold Cab and Our Song". They are "conveniently close" to "several hotels" so "while in Kerrville", visit the winery. You will find them situated at the top of a hill high above Kerrville and the Guadalupe River Valley.
Scimitar Hill Vineyard "has one of those breath-taking views that are so majestic and a passionate owner". The place "is a stunning spot to stop, that is a bit out of the way, but so very much worth your time and effort". You can "sit outside to enjoy some cheese and snacks, that you can bring yourself while watching the horse and donkey in the distance with the backdrop of the hill country". Unfortunately, as of August 12th, 2018 they will be serving tastings by appointment only. They have already posted on their website to just keep coming back to their website to see their progress. You can also send an email and see if they can set something up.
