Lazy JJ Farm "offers grass-fed beef, pasture-raised chicken and eggs, free-range pastured turkeys, and playground pork". All of their animals are grazed rationally on to fresh grass pastures. Somewhere near Waco, Texas lies the small town of Oglesby, the home of Pippa Hill Farms. Owned and operated by Shane and Liz, this farm specializes in home garden-grown vegetables and plants. These include a lineup of "absolutely fantastic produce" like squashes, beets, sweet peppers, radishes, tomatoes, onions, and more. And of course, let's not forget the official state pepper of Texas– jalapeños! But, that's not the best part yet as these folks sell their vegetables in packages too. You're gonna be "blown away by" the "box of veggies" that they offer at a "very high quality" and "terrific price!" And, if you're into ornaments, you can also get their beautifully-arranged succulents and pumpkins. You can find all these in the area's farmers' markets and festivals so when you get a chance to drop by, don't think twice. But, if you have no time to head on to the market, you can have its "Farm to Table Veggie Box delivered to your door, weekly!" Indeed! They offer deliveries every week on Tuesdays and Wednesdays in and around the area of Waco, Temple, and Belton. The contents of the box also changes every week so you can mix and match or add on extra produce or other items. Plus, you're not required to order every week. You can skip or alternate the weeks when you want to have it delivered. It's definitely up to you! Thus, if you want to eat fresh vegetables that come straight from the farmer, Pippa Hill Farms is the best! Highly recommended!

Punkin Center Berry Farm

About 18 miles west of Waco, Texas, Punkin Center Berry Farm serves "locally-grown blackberries and grapes". Moreover, visitors can pick their fruit or buy when available. The berries are on trellises, so they are easy to select. Also, they have no weeds and no chiggers. Aside from blackberries, "visitors can take home a bouquet of cut flowers" in the zinnia garden. However, "blackberries in Texas are available only in May and June", but we can freeze the berries during winter months. Satisfied customers said, "Plump, juicy, and delicious berries! Lovely set up for easy berry picking." and "The owners were wonderful and super friendly!"

Rascoe Pecans

Rascoe Pecans started from the long-time dream of the late Frank L. Rascoe. He desired of having a pecan orchard on the banks of the Brazos River. He planted many varieties of pecan that are usually available in October. They have "the best pecan that they have ever tasted". His wife, Sue, took over and made sure to continue Frank's legacy. They partnered with World Hunger Relief, Inc. (WHRI) to produce organic pecans. They "also help train farm interns in natural farming methods". Nowadays, Frank and Sue's daughter and son-in-law handle Rascoe Pecans. Their products are not just available in the farm market but also online! They are "sweetest couple selling pecans & pecan butter". Visit and buy "a large bag toast pecans and two pecan butters one with honey". You will be assured of a "very good quality, fresh and tasty". "Seriously these foods will be in heaven!"

Triple S Dairy is a "great location to buy very healthy real food!" "Fantastic raw milk, fresh eggs, and fresh beef" are what they offer. They "offer grass-fed beef". "And it's nice to see the honesty system still works" because you can "pay on the honor system, cash or check". The cows appeared healthy and well cared for and the cows' free range over their pasture. "Run by great people" and definitely "worth the drive" and "well worth the price". Call them for their opening hours and if you want to visit their place. They are located only about 10 minutes north of Waco.

Victory Oasis Farm

Cynthia H. Lyons opened the Victory Oasis Farm in March 2014 intending to produce food for the heart, mind, and body. With hopes to bring the most environmentally-friendly products, she can satisfy the food needs of locavores in Texas, or those who love locally-grown food. They take care of plants as nature would by doing practices like mulching every plant and giving plants rainwater. Aside from that, they handplant and handpick everything to perfection. The farm is also planting a whole 50-ft row of product which they give away to the poor and misfortunate people. Some of the plants they grow are cucumbers, tomatoes, squash, potatoes, lettuce, okra, kale, cabbage, onions, peas, and greens. She sells these naturally-grown hand-picked at Heart of Texas Farmers Market. "Everything was so fresh yummy!"

Wood’s Acres grows everything from non-GMO seed. You will find that they have "absolutely the best New Mexico chiles" you will ever have. They grow varieties of vegetables that others do not. Experimenting with Native American growing techniques that result in "fantastic" tasting vegetables. Their "Chimayo chili powder" is also "fabulous". It will make "a delicious chili" that is "delicate with floral overtones". They graft their tomatoes every year especially their heirlooms. This process doubles or triples the yield because of increased disease resistance and vigor. The flavor remains the same and there's just a lot more of it for their customers to enjoy!
