If you are looking for great spices and olive oils, visit 1890 Marketplace in Dallas, Texas because they have different “flavored oils, vinegar, and spices.” The expansive spice collection fills a whole wall of shelving, and tables filled with vats of olive oil resembling mini beer vats at a craft brewery fill in the rest of the space. Each vat has “its own label of a specific flavor of olive oil”, which is made by infusing the crushed olives with various herbs and spices. They also offer “Thai Lemongrass Mint, Honey Ginger, Aged Basalmic,” and pretty much everything. The service is super attentive, and very informative on all the options. The highlights are their house-blend spice, and the Cranberry Pear and White Balsamic Vinegar Dressing.

They only carry wine, spirits and cocktail mods “free of artificial colors and flavors.” All of their wines are, at minimum, practicing organic, and many are biodynamic. That means no herbicides, pesticides or fungicides used in the vineyards. It also means you’re not drinking toxic chemicals! As a leader in the “Texas natural wine movement,” Bar & Garden supports the artists, farmers and makers of raw wine. With multiple awards over the years, BrainDead Brewing is a fixture at Deep Ellum in Dallas. It is Dallas’ first true brewpub (the restaurant brews their beer onsite) and their awards include best burger, best brewery, best bar for beers, best bar, etc., from several Dallas-based groups. Opened in March 2015, the brewery currently offers 35 craft beer varieties. That’s not counting the rotating guest brews on taps, cans, or bottles. For wine enthusiasts, there’s a current selection of six wines. Don’t forget – it’s also an award-winning restaurant with an anytime menu, a lunch menu, and a Sunday brunch menu. Their Coma Burger is mentioned in several blogs and testimonies of its goodness abound. The brains behind BrainDead are Sam Wynne, Jeff Fryman, brewer Andrew Huerter, chef David Peña, and their slogan says it all: “Beer. Food. Good.”

Burgundy's Local Dallas offers 100% Grass-Fed Beef & Lamb, Pasture Raised Chicken, Pork, & Rabbit, Raw Milk Cheeses, Free Range Pastured Eggs, and more. They are all "great quality" which "makes you question the grass-fed meats from the grocery". It is "worth the price knowing you are getting local and well cared for product". Deep Ellum Brewing Co. has many achievements since it sold its first beer keg in November 11, 2011. It is currently the largest independent North Texas brewery, and Dallas’ first craft brewery. Much like the historic and culturally-significant neighborhood for which it is named, the brewery embodies the “bold, fearless, and unapologetic” spirit that enabled the area to rise and “to refuse to die”. Since the taproom’s opening at 2823 St. Louis Street, the brewery has added a second taproom location in Fort Worth. The Funkytown Fermatorium opened in 2018 at 611 University Drive. The brewery has a lineup of nine year-round beers including the popular Dallas Blonde. They also have several other seasonal beers. Brewery tours are at 1pm only at their Deep Ellum headquarters. In 2018, founder John Reardon sold DEBC to Oskar Blues Brewery, a brand of beers by the Canarchy Craft Beer Collective. Reardon also launched the Deep Ellum Distillery in November 2017.

The owners aim to create “sophisticated hard craft cider” that’s dry and crisp. They also plan to use local ingredients together with apples sourced from Washington. With about ten ciders on the menu, there are more things to celebrate about Trinity Cider. Their beverages are gluten-free, and most won’t have sugar added to the recipes. If you’re feeling brave, there’s a ghost pepper-infused cider that requires patrons to sign a waiver before trying.
