Review of Dewberry Hills Farm by TexasRealFood
Jane and Terry Levan run Dewberry Hills Farm, and call their pastured chickens an “omnivore’s delight”. Passionate at what they do despite the labor-intensive process, they claim to only grow “really good chicken”. They never use hormones or antibiotics on the birds they raise, and only use a special grain mix to supplement their chickens’ diet of green grass. They don’t use pesticides on their grazing areas, too! The birds move freely in their movable chicken pens. During harvest, they process them onsite.Being close to Austin, one can find them at the various farmers’ markets and co-op grocery stores in Austin. Better yet, find them at some of Austin's better restaurants.
