Elmendorf city is found in the county of Bexar—Texas—in the United States. This city is situated at the point where the US Farm Road 327 and the Southern Pacific Railroad intersect. It was named after a former mayor Henry Elmendorf of San Antonio in 1885. It had a population of around 1,488 in 2010. The city’s approximate area is 4.5 square miles, five percent of which is covered by water. The clay in the in the area was discovered suitable for pottery. For this reason, Star Clay Products became the city’s largest employer. In 1986, a post office was opened and Elmendorf had a general store and a hotel.
