The name stuck because Marine Corps veteran Mark Phillippe, the brewery’s founder, spent time with his Dad in a little cabin off Hi Sign Road. It was there that he developed his love for craft beers. After his military stint, Mark found himself searching for his next path. Two mentors, both also in the beverage industry, convinced him to pursue his dream of building his own brewery.
The brewery opened in 2017 with Andrew Shelton as head brewer. Andrew brings an extensive brewing background including stints at Texas and Florida breweries. Located in a 6,600 square feet warehouse and situated in a one-acre lot, the airy taproom has ample space for special events. While at the brewery, try the blond ale with “the perfect subtle amount of blueberry” Violet the Blueberry Blonde (5.1% ABV). It’s their bestseller.
