Review of HOPE Farmers Market by TexasRealFood

HOPE Farmers Market is a project of HOPE Campaign, a “creative, collaborative, and socially conscious” group of people from various artistic fields who thought of coming together to support and put their creative energies into different causes including the refugee crisis in Darfur, their first campaign.

This Sunday market is a lively showcase of local farmers, artisans, and artists in East Austin, and known for their distinct “a little bit of everything” feel. It’s the longest operating Sunday market having opened in 2009, and has scooped up many awards since then.

Besides the produce, unique craft and artisanal products, and prepared foods available, their featured live musical or performance acts are a highlight each week. Each month, they also feature a talented local designer to create an original poster for HOPE farmers market – available free with a $5.00 donation – which has become a collectible for fans of the market.

They accept SNAP/LONESTAR benefits and offer Double Dollars through SFC (match up to $30).

With the kids in Austin and looking for grass-fed beef? Check out HOPE Farmers Market and others as they were featured in Kim's 5 Places to buy Grass-fed beef and Entertain the kids in Austin.
