Homebunz

Artisan Food Producer in Houston

Closed Now!

Bringing a touch of sweetness to the world, Homebunz was created in 2017 by “Rebecca Saunders.” Her passion for delighting friends and family through baked goods called her to dream of Homebunz. They make the dough fresh, from scratch, everyday. As everyone with a sweet tooth knows, “homemade taste much better” than store bought. With that, they developed a recipe for fluffy, light pastries that are still moist, rich, and decadent. Creating fun, delicious new flavors is their favorite way to surprise the customers. However, “the original cinnamon bun” that everyone knows and loves will always have a special place on the menu. It will surpass every cinnamon bun you’ve every had!

Westchase District Farmers Market

Farmers Market in Houston

Day Off!

The Westchase District Farmers Market is a year-round, rain-or-shine farmers market. Held every Thursday starting at 3:00pm to 7:00pm, it’s an ideal midweek market for employees tied down to an 8-to-5 job or for carpool parents and residents needing locally grown produce. The market first opened in 2013 through a $65,000 grant from the USDA's Farmers Market Promotion Program (FMPP.) These days, it features over two dozen vendors during its weekly markets. Popular items include fresh fruits and vegetables, pork, beef, eggs, and cheeses. Value-added products such as jams and jellies, honey, popcorn, specialty soaps, artisan breads, and olive oils are also regularly available. Some reviews from recent visitors:
  • “It's not the biggest farmers market around, but they always have everything I'd be looking for.”
  • “Extremely convenient for me, too. I pick up a friend at work just across the street so we always stop by.”

Just like the "self-serve nuts and a cheese display case with someone actually working behind it capable of giving you recommendations and assistance". The store is also "clean" and "the service is nice" plus it "provides an array of top-notch healthy choices".
