Sable Gate Winery

Winery in Houston -

If you "dislike most wine bars", then you should give Sable Gate Winery a try. This is a "flawless operation to give off nice time only winery vibes". Its "space is open and inviting" and its "service" is "amiable, warm, and pleasant". The "proprietors" are "so friendly and helpful" with "full of suggestions" and will even "help determine" what you will "likely to prefer". You will likely enjoy "the crispy apple Riesling and Cabernet the most" although they have an "excellent flight of red wines with a fabulous charcuterie". Also, "any combo with their cheese and meat are always a go-to". When you visit, "don't forget to try their delicious truffle fries!"

Sinfull Bakery

Bakery in Houston -

Sinfull Bakery offers baked goods that are so sinfully delicious you won’t believe it’s vegan! This is “Houston’s first 100% vegan bakery,” established back in 2009! Everything is “made from scratch, with all-natural and mostly organic ingredients.”  Check out this award-winning bakery’s selection of baked goods from bars, cookies, soft granolas, cinnamon rolls, pies, mini-sweet loaves, cupcakes, muffins and even a Giant Cinnamon Roll Birthday Platter that can feed up to 35 people! They also offer cinnamon rolls and other ready to bake items that can be frozen and reheated at home! While others might be hesitant about these treats being labeled as vegan and organic, those who have tried it can attest that “you do not have to be vegan to enjoy these treats” and that they “would have never guessed” because it is that good!

Under The Radar Brewery

Craft Brewery in Houston -

As with other craft breweries, Under The Radar Brewery got its start in homebrewing. Its three founders brewed in their garage until they realized they could bring their hobby to the next level. Starting out small and opening without so much as a sign, the brewery’s name suggests how things were initially done at the brewery. It also found a perfect spot among condos and townhomes, and further bolsters the under-the-radar nature of the brewery. Their taproom, though small, has an outdoor area, and serves five “usuals” (their core beers) and a couple of seasonal/ special beers. It’s also kid- and dog-friendly, much like a backyard in one’s neighborhood. They’re not canning their brews yet, but do check their website for updates on where their beers are available.

Whole Foods Market – Midtown Houston

Store in Houston -

Opened last November 2019, this is one of the newest stores from the Whole Foods Market. This "place is in the middle of midtown which means it’s in the middle of everything". This place "is as good or better than the Galleria location, and much more conveniently located". Located in an eight-story development known as Pearl Marketplace. Already considered a "top-notch Whole Foods with the best hot bar in the Inner Loop area". "This location also has a much nicer sit-down/dine-in area compared to the Waugh and Kirby locations". Some add-ins include an Austin-based Briggo Coffee Haus “robotic barista” coffee machine and an Austin-based JuiceLand counter that offers a juice and smoothie bar where you can also order pre-made vegan meals.
