LocalSprout’s primary mission is to connect “sustainable food with market opportunities.” Through their business, they want people to have easier access to healthy food, to minimize the devastating effects on the environment of food production, and to educate the community about having a “better food system.” And they did that by establishing the LocalSprout Food Hub, home to small food businesses whom they provided with a “large solar array and edible landscaping.” Joining the line up of the Food Hub are grocers, manufacturers, and chefs that grow, sell, and make high-quality local food and products including meats, eggs, coffee, produce, and the likes.
