Bremond city is located in Robertson County in the US state of Texas. Its population, according to the 2010 census, was 929. Bremond City was named in honor of Paul Bremond who lived between 1810 and 1885. He was the founder and entrepreneur of the Houston, East & West Railroad and owned all the surrounding land. Years later, William Marsh Rice, the new owner, and whose wife Margaret was Bremond’s daughter, would have the whole town surveyed and named Bremond. Bremond would later, in 1870, be incorporated. The 1870s saw many Polish immigrants come to the area to grow cotton.
