Brenham city is found in Washington County in Central Texas. Its population, as per the 2010 census, is estimated at 15,716. It serves as Washington County’s seat. The city is located south of College Station and halfway between Austin and Houston. The city is renowned world over as the heart Central Texas’ Bluebonnet region. Washington County is often referred to as the birthplace of Texas because it has the site where the Texas Declaration was signed in 1836. The place has since been turned into a historic site. Brenham is also renowned for its German heritage festival, Maifest, which takes every year.
