The US city of Burleson is located partly in Tarrant County and partly in Johnson County in the state of Texas. The city is a Fort Worth suburb. According to the 2010 census, Burleson’s population was estimated at 36,690. A 2018 estimate placed it at 47,282. A post office was opened in the city in 1882 in a small retail establishment. In 1895, a fire engulfed most of Burleson’s business district as well as several houses. Towards the end of the 1800s, the town was bursting with activity. It had a jeweler, a bank, a druggist, a general store, grist mills, cotton gins, a grocery store, schools, and farms all round.
