Founded in October 1909, Christine was named after developer C. F. Simmons daughter. The town is located in Atascosa County, Texas. It is part of the San Antonio Metropolitan Statistical Area. In 1916, a water tower was built to solve difficulties with the area water. Lettuce, honey, and cattle became the main cash crops. Christine became a stock shipping point. In 1954 the school district was annexed to Joudanton. The median income for a household in the town was $23,333, and the median income for a family was $25,375. According to 2010 census, the population of that area was 390.
