The Dallas Farmers Market has two areas:

• The Shed: Which is your typical outdoor covered farmers market. Here you can find small vendors selling food, honey, cheese, desserts and so on.
• Indoor: This is the more upscale part of the Dallas Farmers Market. This area is climate controlled and is home to many fixed restaurants and booths.

The market is open every day of the week but the Weekends are the days to go. If you're with friends and family, nothing beats the atmosphere of going to this farmers market.  A quick survey of Saint Michael’s Farmers Market’s reputation on the web should convince you to try this North Dallas farmers market. Established in 2012 by the Saint Michael and All Angels Episcopal Church, the farmers market is a non-profit community outreach ministry of the church. Held at the church’s north parking lot, it opens seasonally from April to September every Saturday (8:00am to 12:00pm).The market won Dallas’ Best Neighborhood Farmers market in 2017 by DMagazine. Good Local Markets hosts the White Rock Farmers Market in the parking lot of Lake Point Church, 9150 Garland Rd. This is a recurring market and the market includes up to 50 vendors selling locally grown food and goods. Also, Good Local staff visits each farm and ranch. This is to make sure that what is being sold at the market is grown locally. "Tasty blueberries, garlic wands, honey sticks, tomatoes; people watching, dog watching, flower power, chalk drawing, egg longing, coop hoping, quiche eating, coffee-sipping FUN!" White Rock Local Market is part of the Good Local Markets which is a 501 © 3 non-profit whose mission is to support local farmers and ranchers, incubate small businesses, increase food access, and cultivate healthy communities. Paul Quinn Farmers Market has an interesting history. Years back, Paul Quinn College in Dallas, TX came under severe financial difficulties. Part of the survival plan meant closing down the college’s football program, and the football field lay idle for a few years. The campus also sits on a federally recognized “food desert”. An inspired moment makes the school decide to convert the idle field into a community garden, the We Over Me Farm. With the help and expertise of Good Local Markets (GLM), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit farmers market, Paul Quinn College now operates a Thursday market for the community and helps alleviate the scarcity of fresh, healthy, and affordable food options. The Marketplace Mesquite is one of two farmers markets operated by The Marketplace DFW, with the second market in Garland. Both are European-style community markets with local growers and artisans. The market is in partnership with Community Heart of Mesquite and located in downtown Mesquite. It also features local growers, artisans, craftsmen, local merchants with handmade goods, and live music. The Marketplace also benefits Good Samaritans of Garland, Inc. that also has a mission on preventing homelessness. They are also focused on reducing hunger amongst the working poor of Garland and the GISD. Also, the Marketplace Garland takes place every 1st & 3rd Saturday, April through October. Coppell Farmers Market is a lovely little market in a quaint part of the city with friendly vendors, fresh produce, and a healthy selection of plants and seedlings. You can get seasonal veggies, pasture grown meat, honey, and a number of other food items.  If you're not a big fan of crowds, be sure to get there early. And if you get hungry, there are plenty of eateries (and vendors!) around the area to keep your tummy happy. They have a water fountain system is a great place for the kids to play and enjoy while you're out shopping for veggies.

Willow Bend Farmers Market (or sometimes called the West Plano Farmers Market) is a small market but offers surprisingly diverse products. Organized by Red Tent Markets, they have “local produce, baked goods, handmade artisan goods, grass fed beef, farm fresh eggs, honey, salsa, plants, and sweet treats”. Market hours are every Saturday from 9:00am to 2:00pm at The Shops at Willow Bend parking lot.Red Tent Markets, the organizer, promises to be “more than just (the) common farmers market”. They aim to hold a professionally managed marketplace where small business owners can promote their products while offering a great shopping experience for patrons.
