Huffman is an unincorporated community situated in Harris County in Texas. At the 2000 census, the community’s population was around 250 residents. The coterie’s first settler was David Huffman who settled north of Houston in 1839. The town’s post office wasn’t granted until 1888. By 1914, the town had a population of around two hundred and fifty people, it has fallen a bit since the forties to the eighties and has started to rise once again. The community’s public education system is being distributed by the Huffman Independent School District. The town is more or less just a suburb of a much larger city of Houston.
