Hughes Springs is a town located in both Morris and Cass counties. The population used to be 1.760 at the 2010 census. By 1847. Reece Hughes established a new community, at a chalybeate spring, a mile west from his home. He had named the town Hughes Springs. The city hosts an annual Wildflower fun run, and walk. And they also host a Miss Wildflower Pageant. The city also used to be a host of Passion Play, which also used to be one of the biggest events in the area. Passion Play is a dramatic presentation of Jesus Christ’s trial, suffering, and death.
