Junction is a city, and also the county seat located in Kimble County in Texas. As of the 2010 census, the town’s population was 2,574. This beautiful coterie was established in 1876. Just before Kimble County was founded earlier that year. This townsite was at first called Denman, after the guy that platted and surveyed the new coterie, Marcellus Denman. The name of the city was changed very quickly in the same year as Junction City. The city gained its name because it is an intersection of South and North Llano Rivers. Junction City became a county seat in late 1876. After it was changed from Kimbleville which had a lot of floods. Some of the top tourist attractions in the city are South Llano River, State Park, Schreiner Park, and Kimble County Historical Museum.
