Katy City is placed in the tripoint of Fort Bend, Waller and Harris counties. The town was formally established in 1891. Katy used to be a Railroad town along MKT Railroad. Katy has had a population of 14,102 as of the 2010 census. The town is still memorable for its historic town square along the MKT Railroad, Katy Mills Hall, and its own Independent School District. The town also has some great tourist attractions with some of them being Mary Jo Peckham Park, and The Johny Nelson Heritage Museum. In 1945. The town was incorporated and the mayor of the town was C. L. Baird.
