Lakeview is a town located in Hall County in Texas. At the 2010 census, the town’s population was 107 residents. Lakeview is a bit unique because its location was at two different areas in Hall County. A post office opened near Southern Pacific Railroad in May 1890. When the community failed to become a county seat, many homes were sold to the farmers. The post office was moved to David H. Davenport’s farmhouse in 1902. Davenport bought some of the land north of his farmhouse and started the community’s progress. On the eleventh of June 1908. He moved the post office and his store to the new site where Lakeview is located today. The town was incorporated in 1921. The town has only 0.2 square miles of the area according to the U.S Bureau.
