Lawn is a city located in Taylor County in Texas. At the 2010 census, the town’s population was 314. The community first settled in the 1890s. The community became “Old Lawn” when a new railroad came and residents were settlings next to it in 1909, it was called “New Lawn”. A new post office opened in 1910. The town’s zenith of the population was in the golden 1929. when there were 650 residents in the town. The town itself is supplied by Jim Ned Consolidated Independent School District. Lawn is located around twenty-four miles south of Abilene, which is the county seat of Taylor County.
