Los Ebanos is a CDP located in Hidalgo County in Texas. At the 2010 census, the town’s population was 335. The CDP’s name comes from the Texas Ebony that anchors the Los Ebanos Ferry. Los Ebanos’ public education system is being distributed by the La Joya Independent School District. The CDP’s total area is 0.6 square miles according to the U.S Bureau. The ferry of Los Ebanos is the last hand operating ferry. The CDP is located just by Starr County and its location is just two miles from U.S Highway 83. Rio Grande City is located twenty-four miles east from Los Ebanos.
