Lumberton is a city located in Hardin County in Texas. The city’s population was 11,943 as of the 2010 census. The town was founded as a stop on the Gulf, Beaumont and Kansas City Railway, that was being built in the area in 1894. The town was granted a post office in 1909. The city was incorporated in 1973.
