Milano’s original site was laid out by the International-Great Northern Pacific Railroad Company in 1874. A post office opened around 1.5 west of the initial location that same year. The peak population of the town came around in 1939 when the town had a population of around 920 citizens lived in the area. The town has a population of 427 as of the year 2018. Milano is located in Milam County in Texas. The city’s public education system is being provided by the Milano Independent School District. The town has a total area of exactly two square miles as stated by the U.S Bureau.
