The unincorporated community of Rosanky is located along Farm Road 535 in Bastrop County, Texas, United States. The community is named after Ed Rosanky of the pioneer Prussian family. Ed Rosanky settled in this community in 1854. The community was originally known as Snake Prairie. In 1868, Snake Prairie School was founded in Rosanky. Later in 1871, a post office was established with Mrs. S.C Hutchinson as the postmistress. The post office was renamed Rosanky after it was discontinued in 1889. By 1896, the community had three general stores, three churches, a corn mill, and a cotton gin.
