Now on its 10th year, the Denton Community Market (DCM) is a producer-only farmer’s market and handmade art market. Their mission is “to strengthen the Denton community by providing economic opportunities for local artists, businesses, food vendors, and food producers”. With over 200 member vendors, about 80-100 members participate during market days.

DCM assures a producer-only market (no resellers allowed) and farmers will have the “Certified Farmer Program” medallion displayed at their booth. Staff members also visit the farms to ensure that producers practice sustainable farming practices and/or humane treatment of farm animals.

They’re family- and pet-friendly with live music, kids’ activities, and other special events held during the Saturdays between April and November. To promote the art and music community, live music is a permanent fixture every market day. They also accept SNAP and WIC benefits and won Top 3 Best Community Event for Best of Denton 6 years in a row!
