Sublime is an unincorporated community in Lavaca County, Texas, United States. Even though it doesn’t have a local government it has a post office and a zip code (77986). Local congregation was probably started in 1868, since that’s how old the local church is. The towns just near Sublime prove to have better land so the local population often moved to Rock Island and Sheridan in search of a better life. The population therefore remained somewhere about 500 throughout the 20th century. Zion Lutheran church is still functional although it has changed its location from the original site.
