Voss was established in the early part of 1904 from part of the William H. Day ranch.Voss came from Mabel Doss Day Lea’s business manager, Will Voss. The area was promoted by the landowner, Mrs. Day, while she served as lady commissioner of the 1904 World's Fair in St. Louis, Missouri. The abundance of wild life brought in many settlers who lived in tents while waiting for their homes to be built. Today Voss has a sign announcing itself as Bob Turner's hometown. Voss can be found in Coleman County, Texas. As of the 2000 census, the town had a population of about 20 people.
