Windom is a town located in Fannin County in Texas. The city was initially settled around the year 1870. Texas and Pacific Railroad arrived in the area a few years later, and the town was granted a post office before the mid-1880s. The population of the town was slowly growing and reached a peak number of 389 in the 1920s but since then it has started to diminish and reached a total population of 199 residents as of the 2010 census. According to the U.S Bureau, the total area of the town is 0.54 square miles, and all of it is land. Honey Grove Independent School District provides the town’s public education system.
