You will have a "great experience helping out in this farm" and you "would definitely come back". You can join and do your "first act of citizenship at Seguin" through their "H.O.T. Dogs of Service. (Helping Others Together)" program. Their commitment is providing customers with excellent quality organic produce which they also provide through responsible agriculture sustainable practices. They are also found on Pearl Farmers Market in San Antonio on Saturdays. You can visit their farm on an appointment basis. Ole Dad Farm

The Ole Dad Farm in Weimar, Texas, produces vegetables, fruits, and herbs. Some of their crops are pumpkins, gourds, green and yellow beans, all bell, hot peppers, and some tomatoes. During late fall to early winter, they have spinach, various lettuces, radishes, cabbage, broccoli, cauliflower, beets, carrots, sweet potatoes, leeks, and green onions. And during late spring to summer, they have some green vegetables and yellow beans, squashes, tomatoes, bell and hot peppers, cucumbers, and many more! Most of their fruits are available during early spring except pears that are available during summer and oranges during early winter. Ole Dad Farm offers a range of brown and green eggs, and they have available fresh processed chicken and turkeys. Their pigs are fed with a natural diet if grains. The farm is open every day, but please call them before coming to reserve a scheduled time for you! Come and visit!

They have "homemade ice cream for the kids and HUGE vegetables!" Your kids will love it here because "their ice cream is OUTSTANDING". Pecan Hill Farm Market grows squash, potatoes, onions, tomatoes, zucchini, green beans, pepper, watermelons, cantaloupe, and okra. It is a family-owned, all-natural farm that uses organic and biodynamic practices (not certified) in growing their blueberry plants. They have planted 7300 plants on the ground. Therefore, the owners Tom and Evangeline Reed opened it to the public in May 2018 after planting its first berry bushes in 2013. Moreover, it is a family-friendly farm where you can pick your produce. Currently, they are famous for their big sweet berries. They nourish all their berries with a natural mineral-rich pond or well water and organic fertilizers.
