The organizers of the Midcities Community Farmers Market recently renamed it into the MidCities Community Market -- “that sells Texas produce”. Whatever the name, or the reason behind the change, the market continues to have its loyal fans that go to the market regularly for their weekly stock of fresh produce.
“My go to farmers market for fresh produce” says one fan. “This is a great market… something new every week,” says another. Clearly, the market serves its purpose to be a “venue for producers and consumers of food to come together, forge relationships, and exchange information”.
This market is open on Saturdays from 9:00am to 1:00pm. Expect to find local produce, meats, eggs, coffee, tamales, as well as various artisan and craft vendors.
