Black’s Fairy Meadery

Black's Fairy Meadery is a flagship meadery established in 2017 located in West Columbia, Texas. "It's worth visiting" to try one of their "great tasting meads" including Black's Fairy Traditional Mead, Black Current Cacao, Black Current Lime, or White Chocolate Strawberry. "If you like mead its a must-try" and "if you don't like mead, its a must-try!" Mead, or “honey wine” is an alcoholic beverage made by fermenting honey. "They don't have food but you can bring some in as you wish". "It is just a tasting room for the most part but they make up for it with a diverse set of choices" and they "make you feel right at home and the customer service is excellent".

Blue Epiphany Vineyards

Winery in Conroe -

Blue Epiphany Vineyards is "not your typical Texas winery". The owners are "all ex-police officers". They are located "in a mixed residential/ business spot" in the Conroe area just a short drive north of Houston. You will find "great scenery" and "they serve up amazing wines in a welcoming, friendly environment". There is a story behind each wine blend they serve such as the Escape Plan (Blend) and House Divided (Blend). Come and visit this place which is "definitely a hidden gem not far from Houston, with a great back story", "many board/card games", and "on top of everything, this place is pet-friendly" too.

Cast Iron Winery

The Cast Iron Winery winery is located only 45 minutes from Houston, "on the San Antonio side of Sealy about a mile north IH10". This "quaint little winery" "has a very relaxed, rustic, atmosphere". "The owners are some of the nicest people and show love to everyone that enter their doors". They are "definitely kid-friendly"  and there are "yard games for the adults to entertain themselves". This is an "awesome place to get a good tasting". "Generous pours and good prices" for "great tasting wine" such as the "Sundial Chardonnay", "Dolcetto and The Mark (Primitivo)" while the "Pinot and the Meriam" are "neat blend of Montepulciano and Aglianico".

Clear Creek Winery

Winery in Kemah -

Clear Creek Winery has "a great low key winery and tasting room showing some good wines". The vineyard is an ideal pastoral interlude for you and your friends to relax and sip their Rio Claro wines. Even for a "short visit", you will leave "very satisfied". They are a "small place" but "with some indoor and outdoor seating" and a "nice outdoor patio that is dog-friendly". It is "very relaxing to share a bottle of wine at the outside tables". "When in Kemah, give them a try", they are located "right off of the 260 heading towards Payson or Happy Jack". You may even end up buying "a bottle of Rosé".

Erma Rose Winery

Winery in Katy -

"A little quaint place", Erma Rose Winery is "hands down a must go in Katy" which is "at first glance it is a little hard to find" but you will be "BLOWN away by these fruit wines, they are complex, sophisticated and unique". You will enjoy "customer service and multiple choices of wine made without grapes". The owner is a "former Marine" and "her wines are delicious and so original". No appointments needed. Visit them for a tasting package and enjoy the "taste of real fruit-infused wine" such as the "Blueberry" as well as the "Royal Dragonfly, Masked Gorilla, and Cranberry". You can also buy their "fruit wine selections" on their website.

Fly Gap Winery

Winery in Cypress -

Fly Gap Winery is located in the heart of the Llano Uplifts. "Concrete fermentation is the signature method that Brock wants Fly Gap to be known for". They are striving for a style that is unique to the world and unique to Mason County.  The owners "have taken a stab at concrete fermentation methods in winemaking". A process that "allows a bit more control over tweaking and adjusting the winemaking process than other classic methods". Visit during normal business hours and try the "Mason Punch" which is a "2010 vintage blend of Tempranillo and Touriga". "Take the plunge off of HWY 29 and head down the dirt road and check this place out sometime. It's a cool winery worth your sipping time!"

Frascone Winery

Winery in Anahuac -

A founding member of the Bay Breeze Wine Trail, Frascone Winerywas opened in 2004 before getting devastated by "Hurricane Ike" in 2008 but was rebuilt and re-opened in August 2014. "They offer a free tasting and you get to choose the wines to taste. They had a great selection of reds, whites and honey meads". Visit them when you are "around Southeast Texas". This is "the best one for wine quality and friendly service", one of the "best getaway places". "If you enjoy good wine you have to come here". "The location is a way out and located in a residential type neighborhood by the bay". Try their "Oak Island Sweet White" or "Oak Island Sweet Red" or even the "Biker's Blood (semi-dry red) and Summer Solstice (honey mead)". It is "well worth driving to Anahuac!"

French Country Wines

The name of this winery speaks for itself. French Country Wines is "a small shop on the outskirts of Rice Village". This is a "great place to learn more about French wines". They "have free tastings on Saturdays". "If you want to stop in for a little tasting" and "you're in the market for French wine in the Houston area, you owe it to yourself to stop by to shop, or maybe come in for one of their tastings". This is an "off the beaten path wine boutique that's worth the visit". You may end up "hooked" with an "absolutely killer red Bandol" and will become your favorite.

Gadela Wines

Winery in Spring -

"Gadela Wines is a fun little place to go in the Creekside area of the Woodlands". A "small and casual place" that is "well decorated and so comfortable for small groups to hang out". "If you like to sing, you can do that too". Their Karaoke system is always waiting for those who want to sing. Their "real passion for winemaking" can be experienced in "original wines and descriptions during the wine tastings". You will enjoy "awesome wines" such as the "Gewurztraminer", "Riesling", and even "Cab Franc Icewine" in a "very nice and relaxing environment" paired "with light bites" such as "paninis and prosciutto cheese trays".

Haak Vineyards and Winery

Haak Vineyards and Winery became one of the first wineries in the country to cultivate Blanc du Bois that began as a hobby with two vines. They are "located in a small Texas town, in a residential area". Visiting them is "a great way to spend the afternoon" while "listening to music and enjoying the scenery of the vineyard". "The people are friendly and the wine is AMAZING" and "especially the Blanc du Bois Estate Dry". You will also find an "enthusiastic tour guide" which will make your "tour enjoyable". You will "look forward to going back" especially with "the nicest and most welcoming folks".

Houston Winery is in the process of renovating the tasting room but their wines are available in several Farmers Markets. You will "love the selection of wine they offer". Try their "Blanc du Bois" which is "very light white with a slight taste of citrus" or the "new version" of the "Viognier" or even the "sweet strawberry-peach Blanc Du Bois called Hippy Juice". They also have "The Houstonian" which is a delicious ruby port with great fruit flavors and a caramel finish and great with dark chocolate or a fine cigar. Check their website for updates on their tasting room and the wine tastings they have in multiple locations.

La Fuente Winery

La Fuente Winery tasting room has a "small cozy atmosphere" located "in an industrial park". They have "an office setting decorated as sort of a dining space". It is "very nice with a relaxing ambiance and smooth character". They feature "good Chilean wines" such as the "Merlot" with an "exquisite" taste or the "Carmenere" which is "a lovely full-bodied wine with a toasted, savory taste". The host is "very nice and knowledgeable". You can call them and have your "birthday celebration here" and have "the ultimate best experience". They have been serving Chilean wines since 2006 and special tastings can be done by appointment.

Nice Winery is a "family-owned winery that believes in organically farmed grapes". For a "great educational tasting" experience, you will need to call for reservations since the wine tastings "require reservations in advance". You will have a "fantastic time" and will learn "a lot about the business". They offer "outstanding" and "award-winning wines". "Be sure you reserve ahead" because "they book up quickly". They also donate proceeds from some of their tastings to extraordinary organizations and charitable causes. They are happy to make a silent auction donation. If you "dislike most wine bars", then you should give Sable Gate Winery a try. This is a "flawless operation to give off nice time only winery vibes". Its "space is open and inviting" and its "service" is "amiable, warm, and pleasant". The "proprietors" are "so friendly and helpful" with "full of suggestions" and will even "help determine" what you will "likely to prefer". You will likely enjoy "the crispy apple Riesling and Cabernet the most" although they have an "excellent flight of red wines with a fabulous charcuterie". Also, "any combo with their cheese and meat are always a go-to". When you visit, "don't forget to try their delicious truffle fries!"

How are they with that job so far? Well, see (or taste) for yourself. Texas River Valley Winery welcomes visitors who are interested to know more about their passion for making wine. Or you can have your wine-tasting every Saturday at The Farmers Market in Tamina. They set up shop here for those looking to buy good, locally-produced wine. Texas River Valley Winery is located in Brazoria, Texas.

The Cellar Door is an establishment with "a winery vibe" with "darkened cave-like entrance" but "don’t let the location put you off, once you step indoors you don’t even feel like" you are "in Katy anymore!" The "steaks" are "cooked to perfection". They have "a large wine list for every taste". Their "Malbec" is "an excellent smooth table wine". You will also "enjoy" the "music" which is "not so loud that you cannot have a conversation". Come and visit this "gorgeous and intimate romantic restaurant with a solid wine list" and enjoy their wines and "excellent menu selections" with "live music most night, usually a solo crooner or acoustic performer". They also "offer a painting class as well and lots of other events".

The Solaro Winery Houston"is wonderful with so many varieties of white and red wines". You can "see the fermentation tanks and aging oak barrels and the storage". They are the first urban winery in Houston that makes wines available to its globally-thinking metropolitan community. "If you're looking to host an event in the near future, THIS is the place". The wines are "great, and the place has a super cute industrial vibe". If you "like good wines, red or white, to stop by and try a tasting". They "offer wine by the bottle or glass in addition to tastings" and also offer "chocolate to compliment the wine!"

Vino Vero Wine Company is "an importer of Italian Wines and distributor based out of Houston and services Dallas, Austin, and San Antonio". They "specialize in crafted wines from producers that are passionate about the wines they produce". Their import partners include Ideal Wine & Spirits and Sawm Imports (Spanish and Argentine wines). They also have two Greek import partners including Cava Spiliadis and Verity. Their import partner Nobile Tuscan Imports provides them, Corte alla Flora, while Tambu Wines is their importer of fine Portuguese wines at an incredible value. Their "wines come at an attractive value and their customer service is very attentive".

Whitley Vineyards

Whitley Vineyards is a "wonderful family-owned wine bar hidden in Montgomery, Texas". They "have a great meat and cheese tray that is delicious and affordable" and on "some evenings they even have line dancing". Visit and "listen to live music and drink great local wines". All their "wines are excellent, and they have some non-alcoholic drinks, too". If you are "in the mood for something sweet", you will surely "loved the 2018 Muscat Canelli and the 2017 Sangiovese Rosé". Wild Stallion Vineyards

Winery in Spring -

Wild Stallion Vineyards is home to Blanc du Bois grapevines and they also have an Event Center and an outdoor stage with a dance floor. They have occasional concert series which you can attend and enjoy a "magical evening listening to great music, drinking fantastic wines and enjoying great food". They have "plenty" of "foods to choose from" such as the "Mexican buffet dinner". You can also just enjoy the "fried ravioli and the cheese plate" with your wines. You will enjoy your visit just seeing the "beautiful grounds" and there is also "a pond with a beautiful bridge which would be great for taking pictures".
