Karbach Brewing Co

Co-founders Ken Goodman and Chuck Robertson started with the distribution company CR Goodman Distribution Co., which brought in various labels into Texas. In 2008, they set out establish their own brewery, and by 2011, Karbach Brewing Company set up brewing operations in Houston. The company grew rapidly fast and the company moved to a larger brewhouse by 2014. In May 2016, the brewery added an on-site restaurant and biergarten. To much publicity in November 2016, the brewery announced the company's acquisition by Anheuser-Busch InBev. With this development, the brewery expects to expand capacity to 150,000 barrels per year in 2019. The brewery continues to produce popular its "mainstays" Hopadillo IPA, Love Street Kolsch-Style Blonde, and Crawford Bock, among others. They also continue to produce their popular seasonal and specialty series beers. Tip: The brewery conducts daily tours with schedules posted on their website. They require visitors, however, to wear closed-toe shoes.

La Fuente Winery

La Fuente Winery tasting room has a "small cozy atmosphere" located "in an industrial park". They have "an office setting decorated as sort of a dining space". It is "very nice with a relaxing ambiance and smooth character". They feature "good Chilean wines" such as the "Merlot" with an "exquisite" taste or the "Carmenere" which is "a lovely full-bodied wine with a toasted, savory taste". The host is "very nice and knowledgeable". You can call them and have your "birthday celebration here" and have "the ultimate best experience". They have been serving Chilean wines since 2006 and special tastings can be done by appointment.

Scotty's Stout Sauerkraut is known for producing 100% naturally fermented foods that are never pasturized and doesn’t contain any added preservatives. Owner, “Scotty Sheridan” makes the most delicious and nutritious fermented foods available on the planet, all made by hand. He makes a variety of “Fermented SauerKraut, KimChi and Veggies” that are filled with beneficial pro-biotic bacteria. These are being fermented using locally sourced vegetables when available in a specially designed ceramic crocks for a period of one week to three weeks depending on the product. And since Scotty's Stout Sauerkraut offers living product, they only distribute to the greater Houston area.

Yellow Rose Distilling is Houston's first legal whiskey distillery. They are "located in a strip mall". They have a 13 product portfolio to suit a wide audience. Visit them because "even if you are not a big whiskey drinker" you will find that "their maple syrup stored in their used whiskey barrels is to die for!" They have a "tour and tasting" that can last "for about 15 minutes". The tour "includes samples of most of their products" such as the "whiskey blend, the syrup, and the chocolates". Their "Caliber stuff (flavored "whiskey") is for the novice only". You will also "learn a little more about whiskey".
