"It's worth visiting" to try one of their "great tasting meads" including Black's Fairy Traditional Mead, Black Current Cacao, Black Current Lime, or White Chocolate Strawberry. "If you like mead its a must-try" and "if you don't like mead, its a must-try!" Mead, or “honey wine” is an alcoholic beverage made by fermenting honey. "They don't have food but you can bring some in as you wish". "It is just a tasting room for the most part but they make up for it with a diverse set of choices" and they "make you feel right at home and the customer service is excellent".

They are located "in a mixed residential/ business spot" in the Conroe area just a short drive north of Houston. The Cast Iron Winery winery is located only 45 minutes from Houston, "on the San Antonio side of Sealy about a mile north IH10". This "quaint little winery" "has a very relaxed, rustic, atmosphere". "The owners are some of the nicest people and show love to everyone that enter their doors". They are "definitely kid-friendly" and there are "yard games for the adults to entertain themselves". This is an "awesome place to get a good tasting". Clear Creek Winery has "a great low key winery and tasting room showing some good wines". The vineyard is an ideal pastoral interlude for you and your friends to relax and sip their Rio Claro wines. Even for a "short visit", you will leave "very satisfied". They are a "small place" but "with some indoor and outdoor seating" and a "nice outdoor patio that is dog-friendly". Fly Gap Winery is located in the heart of the Llano Uplifts. "Concrete fermentation is the signature method that Brock wants Fly Gap to be known for". They are striving for a style that is unique to the world and unique to Mason County. The owners "have taken a stab at concrete fermentation methods in winemaking". A process that "allows a bit more control over tweaking and adjusting the winemaking process than other classic methods". Visit during normal business hours and try the "Mason Punch" which is a "2010 vintage blend of Tempranillo and Touriga". "Take the plunge off of HWY 29 and head down the dirt road and check this place out sometime. It's a cool winery worth your sipping time!"

A founding member of the Bay Breeze Wine Trail, Frascone Winerywas opened in 2004 before getting devastated by "Hurricane Ike" in 2008 but was rebuilt and re-opened in August 2014. "They offer a free tasting and you get to choose the wines to taste. They had a great selection of reds, whites and honey meads". Visit them when you are "around Southeast Texas". This is "the best one for wine quality and friendly service", one of the "best getaway places". "If you enjoy good wine you have to come here". "The location is a way out and located in a residential type neighborhood by the bay". Try their "Oak Island Sweet White" or "Oak Island Sweet Red" or even the "Biker's Blood (semi-dry red) and Summer Solstice (honey mead)". It is "well worth driving to Anahuac!"

Knox Circle Winery / Froggy Wines is a "Very cute little shop" just North of Huntsville, Texas, off of Highway 19, in Walker County. This is the first winery to open in Walker County. Also, the legal name of the winery is Knox Circle Winery (the street the winery is located) but they are doing business as Froggy Wines. Froggy stood for “Forever Rely On Gods Gifts to You" and they have made many award-winning wines as non-commercial winemakers. "They don't grow the grapes" but "they buy them and make their own wine". "The people are awesome and very helpful and knowledgeable about the wine". This is "definitely worth the trip even if to just taste some great local wine". A winery with "really nice family" who runs it and can even have "time" to "explain the many facets of winemaking that create a work of art". A "small and friendly winery" that can also "cater events and parties at their homey location".
