Although the market emphasizes organic practices, official certification is often lacking due to cost constraints for small-scale operations. Alongside a diverse range of offerings, the market provides grass-fed meat, honey, jellies, eggs, baked goods, and organic beauty products. The Harlingen Farmers Market, which was established back in December 2009 with just a few vendors, has come a long way since its inception. Now, the HFM boasts a permanent and shaded location at the City Hall's parking area, providing a welcoming space for visitors and vendors alike. On any given seasonal Saturday market day, you can find over thirty vendors offering an incredible array of locally and sustainably grown produce and food products that showcase the best of local ingredients. To maintain the focus on supporting the local community, all vendors are required to be within a 50-mile radius of the City. One of the many perks for the vendors at HFM is its convenient afternoon schedule, which allows them to actively participate in two markets each Saturday. If you are in or near Harlingen in Texas, know that The Market at Wild August is the best time and place to buy some of your necessities. It is held every Saturday from 9 am to noon at Wild August Nursery and Flower Farm. Here, you can buy organic produce, hot coffee, fresh salsa and baked goods, farm-fresh eggs, grass-fed pork, fresh goat cheeses, local honey, bath and body-care products, artisan leather goods, wild-caught Gulf shrimp, and fresh-cut flowers.

The Tres Lagos Farmers Market puts on display all the fresh, seasonal fruits and vegetables and other local products every first Sunday of the month. There's fresh produce, local products, and great music too! If you get hungry browsing the fresh produce for sale, there are food trucks here selling yummy food. What's not to love? It opens at 2pm. Make sure you are done by 5pm, although I am sure the kind vendors won't mind waiting.
