Review of San Antonio Food Bank Farmers’ Market Association – Pica Pica Plaza by TexasRealFood
The Pica Pica Plaza Farmers Market is located right along the Military Drive in San Antonio, Texas. It's one of the many participants of the San Antonio Food Bank (SAFB) Nutrition Program.SAFB started in the year 1980. Since then, it has been actively reducing starving people in San Antonio and Southwest Texas. One of their ways of doing so is through their SAFB Farm. This farm grows local crops, which are then sold at various farmers' markets, just like this one in Pica Pica Plaza. If you want to participate in this program, you can purchase their FMNP vouchers, which you can use to pay for your fruits or vegetables at their site. Part of the proceeds goes to qualified women and children. The SAFB in Pica Pica Plaza Farmers Market operates every Wednesday from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm. The program runs all-year-round.
