Review of WilCo Farmer’s Market – Sun City by TexasRealFood

The WilCo Farmers Markets in Sun City and Georgetown is the new name of Central Texas’ oldest farmer’s market association, the old Georgetown Farmer’s Market Association. The association used to hold two separately named farmer’s markets – one in Georgetown and one in Sun City. In June 2019, they formalized the merger and the new name. Both markets continue to operate at the two locations. The market at Sun City is every Tuesday morning from 9:00am to 12:00pm at #2 Texas Avenue. The Georgetown market, meanwhile, is every Thursday afternoon from 2:30pm to 5:30pm in the parking lot at 5th and S. Austin. Both markets are open all year-round.As the operator and organizer of the oldest farmer’s market in the area, the association champions the cause of local farmers and is dedicated to bringing fresh, locally grown produce to the communities they serve. Both markets also have other products such as eggs, poultry meat, baked goods, sauces, jellies, jams, and other goodies.
