Willis is a city situated in Montgomery County in Texas. Most of the residents near the townsite of Willis lived in the nearby Danville. Some of the residents that lived in Danville moved south of the town and with that formed a new community named Willis. The town of Willis was incorporated in 1939. As stated by the U.S Bureau, the town has a total area of 3.3 square miles and all of it is land. Willis’ public education system is being distributed by the Willis Independent School District. The town had a population of 5,662 residents as of the year 2010.
